The little project I had been working on recently ( link ) had became broken this morning. You can thank The Weather Channel for that one! They decided to terminate free XML feed access for everyone, and moved to a for-pay service. I find that to be ridiculous. What if you don’t make any money off of the application it is used in (such as me)? Might as well screw over the people who were developing using your platform!

 

The Good News

The project will be fixed soon! I will be working on fixing it tonight, and it should be fixed by the end of the weekend, if not sooner. The Weather Underground feed will be used instead of The Weather Channel XOAP feed. That is rather unfortunate however, since TWC’s feed would had been a bit more accurate to the III (conditions-text wise) than Wunderground’s, but oh well.
